Pontus Ewerlöf specializes in arbitration and civil litigation and is head of MAQS’s Dispute Resolution Group in Stockholm. He is also member of the Executive Committee of the Swedish Arbitration Association (SAA), member of ICC’s arbitration committee (Sweden) and lecturer at the Master of Law in International Commercial Arbitration Law (ICAL) program at Stockholm University.
Pontus has acted as counsel in numerous civil litigations before district courts, courts of appeal and the Supreme Court, as well as, the administrative courts. In addition, he has vast experience as counsel in arbitrations under the SCC, the ICC, UNCITRAL and other rules in both Sweden and abroad. He has also vast experience as an arbitrator, including appointments as chairman and sole arbitrator by the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC) and the Finland Arbitration Institute (FAI). Pontus experience as counsel encompassing a wide range of areas such as supply, share and asset purchases, construction and real estate, BIT (investor-state), finance, agency and distribution, professional and product liability, regulatory issues and insurance. Pontus regularly gives advice to clients concerning corporate compliance and risk management.
