MAQS strengthens its Digital Business practice area
Digitalisation entails a major process of change and affects all elements of society, especially the business community. Already today, technology and digitalisation is a fundamental issue involved in the startup and development of business operations.
"Historically, technology and IT have been a way to support or enhance existing processes. What we are seeing now is that digital technology is a catalyst for new forms of innovation and creativity enabling us to do business in a whole new way. Companies that are at the forefront can take advantage of this development and our job is to support their development," says Kenneth Asplund.
MAQS’ Digital Business practice area combines expertise in general IT law, digitalisation, compliance and intellectual property law matters and is also fully integrated with our other areas of expertise.
"In addition to our internal focus on meeting the needs of our clients in the Digital Business area, we are now pleased to bring on Kenneth Asplund and Magnus Dahlén. Both have long been active in, and worked in close cooperation with, leading companies in IT and digital business," says Katrin Troedsson, Managing Partner, MAQS Advokatbyrå, Gothenburg.
Kenneth Asplund comes most recently from a position as general counsel at EVRY Sweden AB and has previously held a similar position at Bure Equity AB. Magnus Dahlén joins us from his own firm, previously having worked at Setterwalls Advokatbyrå, where he for many years headed the firm’s IP-tech group.
