Ethics & Quality

MAQS - a reliable and responsible partner
for clients and society at large

For us at MAQS, it is crucial to maintain the highest possible ethical standards in our work. We always act with integrity and respect for all involved parties, based on the ethical rules of the Swedish Bar Association and other applicable regulations. Some particularly important principles are the so-called core values; independence, loyalty to our client, confidentiality, and avoidance of conflicts of interest.
Furthermore, our code of conduct is a central part of our internal framework.

Goals for our compliance work:

  • Data Protection (GDPR): We will handle all information in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation to protect the privacy of our clients and employees.

  • Anti-Money Laundering (AML): We will comply with anti-money laundering legislation to prevent the firm from being used for money laundering and related crimes.

  • Anti-Corruption Policy: We do not tolerate any form of corruption, bribery, or similar activities.

  • Insider Trading: We have internal guidelines and procedures for trading to avoid regulatory breaches and ensure fairness in the market.

We have a digital whistleblower channel for reporting any irregularities.

Quality and business development are cornerstones of our work. We continuously improve processes and services to ensure that our delivery is of a high standard and provides customer value. Our quality manual provides guidance in daily work and ensures the quality of our work. Employees are continuously trained in applicable regulations to have the right knowledge and ability to comply with the requirements. The implementation of regulations is followed up, and open discussions about ethical considerations and how we should act in practical situations are held regularly.

Signatur-Ma-Pe

”Our operations should be permeated by the ethical framework ultimately upheld by the Bar Association. The relationship between us and our clients thus entails a great responsibility. A clear ethical compass among employees and partners is an important prerequisite for the quality of advice we demand of ourselves and that the market should be able to expect.”
