AddLife AB (publ) acquires Opitek International and Pharmacold

MAQS Advokatbyrå has advised the Swedish listed life science company AddLife AB and its subsidiaries in connection with the acquisition of the Danish companies Opitek International ApS and Pharmacold A/S.

Opitek International ApS, specialized in patient positioning, will become part of Mediplast, a company within AddLife’s Medtech business area. Opitek's product portfolio includes electric lifts, disposable slings, and positioning aids for orthopedic and general surgical procedures. The acquisition supports AddLife's strategic initiative to grow in proprietary products and expansion within the orthopedic segment.

Pharmacold A/S, a leading Danish specialist in cooling technology and services for the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors, will become a subsidiary of Holm & Halby, a company within AddLife's Labtech business area. The acquisition complements and strengthens Holm & Halby's existing Cold Storage division. Pharmacold delivers advanced customized solutions for temperature-controlled storage, including comprehensive installation, ongoing service and technical support of refrigeration and freezing systems for laboratories and healthcare facilities. The acquisition strengthens AddLife's service business and expands its capabilities in critical temperature management solutions for the life science sector.
