MAQS advises Ardian on acquisition of Swedish wind farm via Enordic Evergreen
Global private investment firm Ardian has acquired the 62 MW Furukraft wind farm in Sweden from the Italian independent power producer ERG. The investment and project execution are led by Enordic Evergreen, a Nordic independent power producer wholly owned by the Ardian Clean Energy Evergreen Fund.
The Furukraft wind farm benefits from strong market fundamentals, including attractive price positioning in Sweden’s SE4 area and growing demand for renewable energy from industry, data centers, and heating and transportation electrification. In addition, the project has entered an attractive long-term Power Purchase Agreement, PPA, with a Swedish utility.
The investment reinforces Ardian’s commitment to advancing energy infrastructure in the Nordics and marks an important milestone for Enordic Evergreen, adding further scale and geographical diversification.
Ardian has been a pioneer in the energy transition, having started investing in renewable assets in 2007. Across all infrastructure funds at Ardian, the team manages more than 10 GW of clean energy capacity in Europe and the Americas.
MAQS Advokatbyrå advised Ardian and Enordic Evergreen on the transaction. MAQS’ team consisted of Mikel Kowal, Ida Hillestad, Kristin Busterud Öhman, Jessica Svantesson, Elin Stolpe, Anna Almroth and Jennifer Bake.
