MAQS advises Kappahl Group on partnership with Arkivet

Kappahl Group has entered into a partnership with Arkivet, Sweden's leading second-hand retail chain, by acquiring a majority stake in the company.

The acquisition is part of Kappahl Group's continued growth journey and its investment in circular business models, and forms part of the group's strategy to build a family of strong brands, where each brand develops independently while benefiting from shared group resources.

Kappahl Group was founded in 1953 in Gothenburg and is one of the Nordic region's leading fashion chains, with around 350 Kappahl and Newbie stores across Sweden, Norway, Finland, Poland, Iceland and the United Kingdom. Kappahl Group also operates online in more than 30 markets across Europe and Asia.

The transaction enables Arkivet to take the next step in its development and expand both within and outside Sweden, while Kappahl Group further strengthens its circular business.
