MAQS advises in Solgrid's sale of solar power projects to Uniper

The Norwegian company Solgrid has signed an agreement to divest the Segås and Segerhult solar power plants to the energy company Uniper. Through the transaction, Uniper will take over the projects and move them forward to the construction phase, which is scheduled to begin in early 2026. The goal is for the facilities to be commissioned in 2027.

For Solgrid, the divestment is part of the company's strategy to develop and establish large-scale solar power in Sweden.

The Segås solar power facility is planned i Hallsberg Municipality, approximately 20 km south of Örebro. The facility covers 25 hectares and is estimated to consist of approximately 32,000 solar panels with an installed capacity of 22.5 MWp. The expected annual production is 21.6 GWh, which corresponds to the electricity usage of approximately 1 080 households.

The Segerhult solar power facility is planned in Katrineholm Municipality, approximately 20 km north of Katrineholm. The planned area is 16 hectares, with approximately 21,500 solar panels and an installed capacity of 15 MWp. The expected annual production is 15.2 GWh, which corresponds to the electricity usage of approximately 760 households.

MAQS assisted Solgrid in the transaction through Mikael Kowal, Ida Hillestad, and Elin Stolpe.
