MAQS advises Turbine Capital in investment round

The venture capital fund Turbine Capital has secured a first investment round, representing 40% of its target, in a new fund focused on early-stage deeptech companies.

It is the first fund in Europe backed by both leading Swedish industrial companies, including SAAB Ventures and university-affiliated incubators.

The fund aims to accelerate deeptech startups into becoming international growth companies and targets a final closing of €75 million.

Turbine Capital was initiated by Pär Hedberg from Sting (Stockholm Innovation & Growth), Karin Edström and Anders Ösund, all of whom bring extensive investment experience with backgrounds at Almi Invest, Investor Growth Capital, Combient among others.

MAQS advised Turbine Capital in the investment round. The team consisted of Anders Lindström, Per Lagerkvist and Märta Willner.
