MAQS has advised the owners of Solkraft EMK AB when Bravida becomes the new majority owner

MAQS Advokatbyrå represented the sellers in connection with Bravida AB’s acquisition of 51 percent of the shares in Solkraft EMK AB

Solkraft EMK AB (“Solkraft”) offers installation and servicing of solar solutions for villas, agricultural and commercial properties. Solkraft is headquartered in Mölndal with seven local offices between the Swedish cities of Ystad and Stockholm. In 2019 the company had a turnover of approximately SEK 170 million.

Since its inception in 2015, Solkraft has grown rapidly and currently employs just over 100 people. Peter Olsen, who co-founded the company, sees great benefits in becoming part of Bravida: “Since the beginning we have been aiming to reach a billion in turnover, with the best customer satisfaction. We realized early on that we would need help from a strong player to reach the goal. As a part of Bravida we are now ready to continue our journey of expansion and sustainability while preserving quality and service to our customers.”

Mattias Johansson, President and CEO of Bravida, explains the background to the acquisition, which is a first in the solar energy sector: “The acquisition of Solkraft EMK AB is part of a long-term investment and a development of our customer offering. We want to be the industry leader in sustainability. Climate-smart solutions will be a growing part of our business going forward.”

Initially, Bravida acquired 51 percent of the shares in Solkraft and takes up ownership in the spring of 2020.

MAQS team consisted of Mikael Kowal, Andréa Rylander and Emma Bremer.
