MAQS has assisted a joint venture between Skanska, MKB, and Tornet in an acquisition

MAQS has advised SMT – a joint venture between Skanska, MKB, and Tornet – in the acquisition of Jägersro Trotting & Galloping Track in Malmö.

SMT Malmö Partner Holding AB ("SMT") is acquiring the land at Jägersro's current trotting and galloping track from MKB. The underlying property value amounts to 775 million SEK.

SMT intends to develop the area, which covers over 400,000 square meters, into a new district in Malmö with services, premises, and over 4,000 homes.

– We are now taking concrete steps to shape the new district. Our ambition is to create a district that becomes an integral part of Malmö and further enhances the city's attractiveness. We look forward to inviting Malmö residents, the City of Malmö, businesses, and other stakeholders to dialogues and meetings – now on our own land. Together, we can shape the most sustainable district in the Öresund region – for real, says CEO Anders Hall.

MAQS has advised SMT through Magnus Bengtsson, Lovisa Elardt, and Richard Fiskesund.
