MAQS recruits renowned construction law expert

MAQS has strengthened its Construction & Infrastructure team with the recruitment of leading expert Olof Johnson. He joins MAQS as Senior Legal Director, tasked with further enhancing the firm’s capabilities and offerings in construction and insurance law.

Olof Johnson most recently served as in-house counsel at Serneke Sverige AB. He has previously held roles as General Counsel at the Swedish Construction Federation and the HVAC Industry Association, as well as insurance counsel at Skandia and If P&C Insurance. He also has extensive experience as a practicing attorney.

Johnson specializes in construction and consultancy law, insurance and tort law, and has extensive knowledge of public procurement, dispute resolution, mediation, final inspections, and arbitration proceedings.

In addition to his legal practice, Olof regularly teaches at Stockholm University and within the construction industry. He has authored multiple articles on construction, consultancy law, and insurance. He has also contributed to the development of key industry-standard contracts, including AB 04, ABT 06, and ABK 09, and is actively involved in the current revisions of AB 04 and ABT 06.
