MAQS strengthens its transaction team with two partners in Banking & Finance

MAQS Advokatbyrå continues to grow and further strengthens the transaction team. Markus Meuller and Georg Jonsson join as partners to expand the firm’s offering and lead the Banking & Finance practice.

Markus Meuller joins the firm from Baker McKenzie, where he was a partner in the firm’s Banking & Finance practice. He has previously worked at Freshfields, Skadden Arps, and Fried Frank in New York.

Georg Jonsson has run his own business since 2024 and has previously worked at Baker McKenzie, Ashurst, and BBRP. 

Both specialize in transaction advisory for borrowers and lenders in connection with Swedish and international financing transactions in various contexts, including acquisitions, real estate transactions, refinancings, recapitalizations, restructurings, and other arrangements involving lending or bond issuances.
