MAQS has advised Dala Vind in a wind power transaction with Stena Renewable

MAQS Advokatbyrå represented Dala Vind in connection with Stena Renewable’s entry as partner in the Riskebo wind farm located in Hedemora.

The wind farm has been developed by Dala Vind and Stena Renewable has joined in the wind power project as a partner. Five of the wind power turbines will be owned by Stena Renewable, while Dala Vind together with Borlänge Energi, Falu Energi and Dala Energi will own two of the turbines. The wind farm will be managed jointly by Stena Renewable and Dala Vind. Construction will commence in the spring of 2020 and the wind farm is expected to begin supplying electricity by the end of 2021.

Vestas will supply the wind power turbines to the wind farm, Kanonaden will be responsible for roads, foundation and the internal electricity grid while Hedemora Elnät will be responsible for external grid connections. Sveaskog is the owner of the property where the wind farm will be established.

The wind farm will consist of seven wind power turbines with a total height of 200 meters. The wind power turbines (Vestas V162) are 5.6 MW each and are among the largest in Sweden. The wind farm is estimated to produce approximately 130 GWh of electricity annually, which is equivalent to the use of household electricity in 26,000 houses. The renewable electricity can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 78,000 tons per year, which is almost as much as the total emissions for the whole of Hedemora during 2018 (84,000 tons).

MAQS’ team consisted of Mikael Kowal and Marcus Resvik.
