New Partners at MAQS

Sara Malmström and Karin Schurmann will join MAQS Advokatbyrå as new partners after the summer.

Sara Malmström has extensive experience of mergers & acquisitions and is specialised in legal intensive industries such as IT/tech, retail/etail and media. Sara regularly assists industrial companies and private equity companies in transactions and with growth and venture capital investments, and provides qualified advice in company law. Sara also has broad expertise within intellectual property rights and assists companies on an ongoing basis in matters relating to license agreements, trademarks and copyright. Sara comes most recently from Kanter Advokatbyrå.

Karin Schurmann has extensive experience of providing qualified advice in data protection-related issues within various industries, such as the financial sector and retail/etail. Karin has, for example mandate as an external data protection officer and provides strategic management support in data protection. She is also active in e-commerce and marketing law. Karin regularly provides training and leads legal networks within her specialist areas. She has previously, among other things, worked as corporate counsel in the telecom sector with focus on data protection, and comes most recently from Kompas Advokat where she was a partner.
