Solwers acquires WiseGate

MAQS advised in connection with Solwers' acquisition of the energy and industrial consulting company WiseGate.

Solwers strengthens its presence in Sweden by acquiring WiseGate AB and its subsidiary, WiseGate Consulting AB, specialized in consulting services within the energy and process industry, and DEMAB AB, an automation company.

WiseGate was founded in Malmö in 2014 and has over 50 full-time employees and offices in eight locations in Sweden.

WiseGate primarily serves the energy and industrial sectors, with a focus on areas such as electrical power, power transmission, mechanical design, and project management. The company has been involved in several challenging projects, including Stockholm Exergis' carbon capture project and the Säve Test Center for future e-mobility.

MAQS assisted the majority owners of WiseGate in connection with the transaction, through Filip Bucin and Lovisa Elardt.
