XANO acquires automation company in the pharmaceutical industry

XANO has acquired the Uddevalla-based automation company Graniten, which develops and manufactures high-technology solutions for automation processes.

The customers are primarily located in Europe and consist of leading companies within pharmaceuticals and medical technology as well as healthcare. The company has 70 employees and a turnover of 100 million SEK during the fiscal year 2022/2023. Graniten will become a part of XANO's Industrial Solutions business unit.

XANO develops, acquires, and operates niche technology companies that offer manufacturing and development services for industrial products and automation equipment. The operation is divided into three business units, and the group is represented in the Nordic countries, Estonia, the Netherlands, Poland, China, and the USA. The group's net turnover amounts to 3.5 billion SEK, and it has approximately 1,400 employees. XANO's B share has been listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange since 1988.

MAQS advised XANO in connection with the acquisition. MAQS's team consisted of Lovisa Elardt, Richard Fiskesund, Nelly Bjurling, and Philip Lagerström.
