Renewables

The climate crisis demands major changes within energy production, transport, industry, and food production. Electrification is one key to succeeding with the transition and requires the installation of large amounts of renewable energy.
Renewebles

MAQS’s industry group within Renewables regularly assists Swedish and international stakeholders that are active within renewable energy and other emission reducing operations and has a leading position in the industry. With focus on renewable energy production, renewable fuels, energy storage and energy efficiency, the group have been involved in the development of onshore and offshore wind power, collaborations for long-term solar energy supply, renewable methanol on a commercial scale and pilot projects for green hydrogen, to mention a few examples.

The team has extensive experience from the industry and consists of specialists in contract negotiation, capital procurement, M&A, environmental law and leasing issues. We negotiate, review and draft land access agreements and project agreements (including supply and service agreements and electricity trading agreements), provide advice in connection with the companies or assets changing hands within the energy sector and manage permit reviews, disputes and regulatory matters.

MAQS is a member of Hydrogen Sweden (sw: Vätgas Sverige), which is a partnership that works to facilitate an introduction of hydrogen and fuel cells in society. Through our participation, we follow developments in the hydrogen field and are able to contribute knowledge to our customers in their projects. MAQS is a member of Svensk Vindkraft and has a framework agreement through which we have assisted many of the association’s members with legal advice throughout the years.
